DRY EYE Dry eye syndrome is caused from a multitude of factors that may include: menopause, working in a air conditioned environment, sleeping with fans, CPAP machines and oxygen, drinking too much alcohol or sodas, having diets low in Omega 3, using excessive eye make up, not drinking enough water, inflammation, allergies, and medications that deal with blood pressure, diabetes, depression, birth control, and hormone replacement. The symptoms include persistent dryness, scratching and burning in your eyes, DRY EYES, excessive tearing, and the feeling that something is in the eye.
